In this project study, I detail my work as the mixing and editing engineer for the podcast Canapé 6 Places, hosted by Lena Mahfouf. This special episode featured Pharrell Williams as a guest and required producing both an English and a French version. Having worked with Binge Audio for six years, I was tasked with maintaining the high production standards that the podcast is known for.

The challenge: bilingual production

The challenge was to deliver a seamless experience in both languages. This required precise mixing to balance the dynamic conversation between Lena and Pharrell in the original English version, and careful editing to ensure the French version felt just as authentic. The goal was to preserve the emotional impact and narrative flow across both languages.

The solution: precision in mixing and editing

I first mixed the English version, ensuring clarity and natural dialogue flow. For the French version, I re-recorded segments to match cultural nuances, meticulously editing transitions to maintain continuity. Close collaboration with Binge Audio was key to navigating the complexities of this bilingual project.

This project highlighted the importance of consistency and attention to detail in bilingual production. By leveraging my long-term partnership with Binge Audio, I ensured both versions felt cohesive and true to the original content.
